Kirsty Merryn plays Broadmayne Community Hall
London-based Kirsty Merryn is one of the most arresting and unconventional new young singer songwriters with a style uniquely her own.
Kirsty recently supported Show of Hands on their UK Cathedrals tour performing to around 14,000 people.
Beguiling and mercurial, Kirsty’s music is emphatic piano based songs heavily anchored in the folk tradition but has a much wider reach, with influences ranging from Cara Dillon to Joni Mitchell.
Her album She and I focuses on diverse stories of inspirational women in history, from Emma Hamilton to Annie Edson Taylor – the first to go over Niagara Falls in a barrel and survive!
Kirsty is playing at the Community Hall on Saturday 2nd March at 7.30pm.
