Help to improve our local path network for walking, cycling and horse-riding

Dorset Council want your contribution to the Dorset Rights of Way Improvement Plan 2022-2032.
It is important that they hear from everyone who walks, cycles, or rides in our beautiful countryside.

Please use the links after the following description and note that the consultation ends on the 31st October

It was great that so many villagers were able to visit Southern Strategic Land’s consultation event yesterday and discuss their ideas with them.

For those who couldn’t attend or who want to take more time to study the exhibited material, SSL have put it all on a dedicated website and are inviting your comments by the 15th October.

We have just been informed, by Dorset Council, of an urgent closure to road traffic of the level crossing on Highgate Lane starting tomorrow night (Saturday 2nd October). The official notice says that “It will come into operation between 23:30hrs and 08:30hrs on 2nd October 2021 and remain in force for five days, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 3rd October 2021.”

So probably only one night of closure. Highgate Lane is the road connecting West Stafford to Crossways.
