Whilst we have seen a small drop in case rates in Dorset over the past week, infection levels remain high and we can see that nationally cases are now rising rapidly due to the spread of the Omicron variant. We expect to see cases rise in Dorset over the next few weeks.

As Christmas approaches, we are all looking forward to seeing family and friends and to going out and doing the things we enjoy, but it’s important to take steps to help reduce the transmission of COVID-19:

We have been notified that the road will be closed in both directions between Knighton Lane and Hardy’s Row (it’s Highgate Lane) on Sunday the 19th December from 08:00 to 16:00. This is the stretch of road across the front of St Peter’s Church and clearly alternative routes will be quite lengthy!
The closure is in order to protect an Openreach workforce who will be working on pole testing in that area.
