Worried about speeding? Join the Community Speed Watch
Many residents express concern about the speed that traffic travels through Broadmayne. One such resident is very keen to revive the Community Speed Watch scheme that ran successfully in the village a few years ago.
Schemes like this can only be successful if they are supported by volunteers from the community. If you are one of the concerned people, then now is the time to do something about it. The more volunteers the less time that each one needs to give to the scheme and the more monitoring that can be done.
The Parish Council has already bought the necessary equipment and will support the scheme and once sufficient volunteers have come forward; training will be given by Dorset Police’s Community Speed Watch Coordinator.
You can find out more about the scheme at https://www.dorsetroadsafe.org.uk/enforcement-operations/community-speed-watch
