Project for Faster Broadband – Update

Here is good news from Paul Whittaker who is managing this project for the benefit of Broadmayne & West Knighton residents.

The project is about gaining access to FTTP (Fibre To The Premises) which would provide much faster broadband to subscribers.

Paul has been in touch with Openreach about setting up a joint funded project. If sufficient people register with Paul then the Government grant/voucher scheme will enable Openreach to make FTTP capability available to virtually all properties in Broadmayne & West Knighton. Individuals would then only need to have faster broadband contracts with their Internet Service Provider (ISP).

Even if you don’t intend to use faster broadband, having FTTP available in the village could possibly increase the value of your home or at least make it more attractive to potential buyers in the future!

Paul needs to register some more names – the required number is within reach
but you could help to benefit the whole community by adding your name to the list.
