Reporting emergencies using what3words

All the Dorset emergency services (Police, Fire, Ambulance) now recognise location references from the what3words mobile phone app.

Every 3metre square in the world has a three word identifier in the what3words system. Use that code when contacting 999 and the emergency services will #KnowExactlyWhere the emergency/incident is.

Why not be prepared – download the free app to your mobile phone now. Find out more and download the app from this link.

As well as for emergencies you can use the location code to report fly tipping, crime, problems, to help friends to find you on the beach, …. the possibilities are endless.

Here’s an example – The Broadmayne sandbag store is at ///flattered.natural.debating
