Broadmayne’s Emergency Plan
Emergencies can happen at any time and it is vitally important that we have a framework in place to mitigate the potential impacts of threats to our village residents and environment.
The Broadmayne Community Emergency Plan has been relaunched (Spring 2019) following a review and update to incorporate latest best practice.
In the plan you will find the defined procedures with which the community will handle emergencies, lists of volunteer helpers, emergency facilities, etc..
In an emergency you should contact our volunteer Community Emergency Response Coordinator – Kevin Denham Tel: 01305 854483 or 07810 658310 or failing that a member of the Emergency Response Team – the details you need are in the plan, why not make a note of them?
We are very grateful to the volunteers who have made themselves available to support the community in an emergency.
Volunteers can access the fully detailed Emergency Plan by clicking this link.
During the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic Broadmayne and West Knighton’s Community Emergency Response Team was activated
Over 100 volunteers generously offered their support to villagers who needed help with such things as Shopping, Dog Walking, Delivery of Medication, and those all important Telephone Chats.
The structure is still in place so, If you, or someone you know, needs support during self-isolation your initial contact should be our
Emergency Plan Coordinator – Kevin Denham 01305 854483 or 07810 658310
If you want to offer your help and aren’t yet on our list of Volunteers please contact Cllr Peter Lamb 01305 851988
