WASHPONDS BRIDGES CLOSED

We have received a message this morning from Dorset Council Rangers to say that they have closed the bridges at the washponds (bottom of Watergates Lane) as one is unsafe, we understand that this bridge and maybe both will be removed imminently.

We will be making urgent calls during the day to find out what their timetable will be for replacement.

REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY

A large number of you turned out in rather miserable conditions this morning to take part in an Act of Remembrance at Broadmayne’s War Memorial. Your support is much appreciated.

We are particularly pleased to have the company of the young people, either in their families, in the Scout Group, or in the Brownies.

Thanks are due to those who contributed specifically to the event. To the Rev David Johnson, to Keith Blandamer, to David Eaglestone and his team who managed the traffic, to Luke Makepeace for the sound system and the music and to all those who laid wreaths.
