Temporary Traffic Regulation Order for Bramble Drove, Broadmayne

Please find the stakeholder information for planned Highways Maintenance works at Bramble Drove, Broadmayne attached.

Whilst these works are being completed, access to properties and businesses will be maintained as appropriate.

We may ask the public to wait for a short time whilst we move machinery or carry out a task.

On the 13th March Abri, the developers for the field opposite Broadmead, held a public exhibition of their detailed plans. All their display material is now available on the community website. This link will take you directly to the relevant page.

Courtesy of Artsreach and the Rural Touring Dance Initiative, Broadmayne Village Hall is delighted to present a fantastic dance spectacular by Pagrav Dance Company, whose mission is to enhance and change lives through the transformative power of dance.

Pagrav means ‘the sound of feet’. Through the Indian classical dance form Kathak – which expresses stories through movement, especially footwork and facial gesture – Pagrav Dance Company celebrates an ancient tradition and its potential to empower people and enhance lives.

The production is Aunusthan, a joyous celebration of classical Indian dance, performed by the very best home-grown British-Asian talent who have toured this show to cities and cultural centres across the UK. It is an evening of classical work which takes the audience on a journey of abstracted relationships and powerful storytelling, and also displays the multi-faceted nature of the traditional Kathak dance form.

Showcasing the very brilliance of classical tradition, you can expect bell-jangling footwork, dazzling spins, and tight technique, moving with the powerful and mood-lifting sounds and colour of South Asian culture in an upbeat Kathak ensemble show. Soaring melodies and riotous beats carry your mind off to far-off places and bring you home again, exhilarated, in a vibrant, energising and dazzling experience for all.

As one audience member at The Place in London put it: “You’re elated and then you’re waiting for the next bit and you’re waiting for the next bit…it was just incredible”

The show is suitable for all ages.

Abri (the developers) and their architects, Boon Brown, are working up a detailed application for the development of 80 homes on the field alongside Broadmead.

They will be seeking your opinions at an open consultation where detailed plans will be available.
