Passionate about Broadmayne?

Parish Council Vacancy

We know that a lot of residents are passionate about Broadmayne. Now is the time to invest some of that passion in influencing Broadmayne’s present and future.

Currently there is a vacancy on Broadmayne Parish Council, and we are looking to co-opt an enthusiastic new member to our team. Councillors are not only involved in the day-to-day issues in the village but in planning matters, as well as more strategic thinking about the future. They are consulted by, and liaise with, Dorset Council and other public organisations on many matters.

If you think that you might be interested, you can read more on DAPTC’s website where there are several articles about the role of councils and councillors under the “Support” tab on https://www.dorset-aptc.gov.uk/. You could also talk to any of our councillors.

If you are interested, please contact the Parish Clerk by 18th October 2022, including a brief pen-portrait of yourself and the reasons why you wish to be considered for the role of a parish councillor.

If you are interested in helping to shape a policy for future development in the village there may be opportunities for councillors and other residents to join a team in the formulation of a Neighbourhood Plan. You should let the Parish Clerk, or the Council Chairman know about your interest.
