Broadmayne roads to be closed for repairs

Dorset Council have confirmed their plans for road repairs in the village and issued the attached formal notice. These are the dates involved:

 

Rectory Road: between 12th – 16th October

Bakers Paddock:  between 10th – 14th October

Broadmead: between 11th – 15th October

Osmington Drove: between 11th – 15th October

Woodlands: between 12th – 16th October

Hightrees: between 11th – 15th October

 

Note that the roads will be closed during those periods
and that parked cars may be removed.


TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ORDER, VARIOUS ROADS, BROADMAYNE

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply
with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will
come into operation on 12 October 2025 and remain in force for 18 months however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 11 November
2025. Works will be carried out between 0800hrs and 1800hrs with Sunday working from 0900hrs.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out surface treatment works and associated highway works.
The effect of this Order will be:

[1] To impose temporary road closure on Rectory Road for its entirety between 12 – 16 October 2025 [2] To impose temporary road closure on Bakers
Paddock for its entirety between 10 – 14 October 2025 [3] To impose temporary road closure on Broadmead for its entirety between 11 – 15 October
2025 [4] To impose temporary road closure on Osmington Drove for its entirety between 11 – 15 October 2025 [5] To impose temporary road closure on
Woodlands for its entirety between 12 – 16 October 2025 [6] To impose temporary road closure on High Trees for its entirety between 11 – 15 October [7] To impose temporary clearway on Rectory for its entirety to prevent vehicles from stopping except those associated with the works between 12 – 16
October 2025 [8] To impose temporary clearway on Bakers Paddock for its entirety to prevent vehicles from stopping except those associated with the
works between 10 – 14 October 2025 [9] To impose temporary clearway on Broadmead for its entirety to prevent vehicles from stopping except those
associated with the works between 11 – 15 October 2025 [10] To impose temporary clearway on Osmington Drove for its entirety to prevent vehicles from
stopping except those associated with the works between 11 – 15 October 2025 [11] To impose temporary clearway on Woodlands for its entirety to
prevent vehicles from stopping except those associated with the works between 12 – 16 October 2025 [12] To impose temporary clearway on High Trees
for its entirety to prevent vehicles from stopping except those associated with the works between 11 – 15 October 2025

Please note that any vehicle waiting in contravention of temporary parking restrictions may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal
of Vehicles Regulations 1986. If a vehicle has been removed, the owner must contact the Council’s vehicle recovery contractor: Ashleywood Recovery
Ltd/Bride Valley Recovery Ltd on 01305 889421.

A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.
